This temporary position is located in Rocky Mount - Nash County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $41.77 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services). This position is located at 141 Storage Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

The purpose of this is to provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Working knowledge of the agency, institution goals and treatment programs; of available referral resources. Considerable knowledge of the application of professional speech and language pathology theory, techniques, principles, and procedures; the work unit and the unit policies and procedures; various communicative disorders peculiar to the group of clients served. Ability to administer and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to determine range, nature and/or degree of communication skills. Ability to formulate, interpret, and implement therapeutic treatment programs applicable to client group served; to express one's self in oral and written form and to maintain client records and charts; to gain the confidence of clients, clients' families, peers, and paraprofessionals and to work effectively with them to gain cooperation for optimum results.
