Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for full cycle AP processing, reconcile AP GL account, accruals, prepaids, and support month end close Identify, research, and resolve invoice discrepancies, collaborating with district offices, vendors, and other departments to resolve issues Assist Corporate AP Manager with escalated AP related issues Audit invoices for procedural accuracy and catch any discrepancies from district offices Maintain AP aging reports by period, manage open invoices, run and analyze open payable reports Enter and maintain accurate vendor information in the master file, including subcontractor documents and vendor compliance Utilize Excel for 1099, sales tax reporting, vendor aging, and tracking invoice details Train corporate AP staff and district offices on software usage, ensuring they understand invoice processing and reporting tools Select invoices for payment, manage check runs, and post invoice batches Complete various AP-related projects as directed by the Corporate AP Manager
Qualifications:
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry Must be detail-oriented with a strong ability to catch errors and resolve discrepancies Demonstrated experience with accounting and AP software; ability to learn new systems quickly Intermediate Excel to Advanced Excel skills required Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and complete tasks efficiently Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with vendors and colleagues
