Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for providing consultation, advice on drafting complex contracts and assistance in the interpretation of contract language, which may include consultation with General Counsel, and guidance from University policies and procedures. Involves structuring, and / or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with contractors, customers and / or partners. Collaborates with internal partners as well as legal staff to structure contracts. Professional contracting services are provided in compliance with all policies and procedures. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. What It Takes to be Successful

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Effective interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain credibility and working relationships with vendors, colleagues and client groups

Advanced organizational, presentation and negotiation skills
Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; advanced ability to deal with broad and diverse constituencies using advanced customer service orientation and skills
Advanced knowledge and understanding of specific contracting assignments
Advanced knowledge of contracting principles and practices, methods and procedures used in competitive procurement, including value analysis, and source selection techniques
