Responsibilities: Position Summary: Functions as specialist, knowledgeable in Perioperative inventory, providing purchasing and inventory management support to the main Operating Room (OR) and the Outpatient Surgical Suite (OSS). Will build working relationships with vendors and product suppliers and seek opportunities for cost reduction. Will ensure the quality/accuracy of financial coding and tracking for expenditures. Duties also include maintaining PAR levels, ensuring the availability of supplies when needed, data entry of purchase requisitions, and follow-up on open requisitions and orders. Major emphasis is given to providing excellent customer service and meeting the requirements of the clinical staff in the OR and OSS. Required Qualifications: Must have specialty product knowledge Must have extensive product knowledge Must have 5 years prior job-related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement system Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needs Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of hospital MMIS system Knowledge of UCI policies and procedures Inventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environment
