Job Summary Description:
Under the direction of the RVP and Area Director, the Senior Project Manager will plan, direct, coordinate & budget, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with assigned contract or project. Participate in the conceptual development of a pipe rehabilitation project and oversee its organization scheduling, implementation and completion.
Essential Job Accountabilities: Schedule the project in logical steps, and budget time required to meet deadlines. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, engineers, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress- and cost-tracking reports. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients representing the owner or developer. Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of services provided, facilities, and systems. Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies on project sites. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with municipal and safety codes and other regulations. Study job specifications to determine appropriate service methods. Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as cleaning or manhole repair. Confers with counterparts to assure successful & safe execution of project. Education:
Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, or civil engineering and/or military experience preferred, and or at least 4 years' experience in construction management. Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to understand contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations. Ability to be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays. Ability to coordinate several major activities at once while analyzing and resolving specific problems. Must understand engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Must be familiar with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating. Good oral and written communication and leadership skills. Must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and craft workers. Benefits:
