The Opportunity:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accurate, timely recording of general ledger transactions that follow GAAP guidance and will be integral in completing the month-end close process. This position requires the accountant to complete balance sheet reconciliations and have an understanding of the accrual process. Problem solving skills and time-management will be essential to success in this role!
Responsibilities-
Responsible for recording the majority of the general ledger transactions for the organization, including payroll entries, maintaining schedules and creating balance sheet reconciliations. These responsibilities will ensure that the accounting team meets the month-end close timeline. Providing support to the Corporate Accounting Manager and identifying process improvements for the General Ledger activities. Analyze financial statements for accuracy, generate financial statements, perform ad-hoc analysis of accounts/expenses as requested. Assist in the completion of special projects and all other duties as assigned. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience-
2-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment Bachelor's in accounting or finance required Experience with payroll accounting required Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Business Dynamics Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles Understanding of the month-end process, deadlines and responsibilities Strong communications skills and excellent time management Ability to analyze processes and data to ensure accuracy Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Excel What We Offer-
