Chemical & Environmental Safety
division is a market leader, providing a wide range of essential products that ensure chemical and environmental compliance across numerous industries. We manufacture equipment designed for the secure storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials, including chemical safety cabinets, spill containment systems, and safety cans. Our comprehensive product portfolio also includes safety showers, eyewashes, and chemical labeling items, all aimed at protecting workers and assets. The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:
The Buyer is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials in addition to managing the supplier relationships. This key position requires strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of the market to drive cost savings while ensuring quality and supply reliability. This position works collaboratively with all levels of management, sales and marketing, and warehouse teams.

Supply Chain
team, you'll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products that keep our customers safe. Our supply chain team is dedicated to optimizing processes, reducing lead times, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet our high standards of quality and reliability. What You'll Do at Justrite: Owns and executes the purchase order process, ensuring that all orders are processed, and raw materials are received on time. Pro-actively negotiates pricing, terms, and contracts to improve material costs and reduce purchase price variance (PPV) Collects and monitors supplier on time delivery metrics to ensure consistent performance that meets requirements and demands of the fulfillment schedule. Routinely reports on forecast accuracy and analyzes data to determine root cause of error in an effort for continuous improvement Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications. Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists. Compare supplier's bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy. Enters Daily receiving into the system. Actively participates in creating cost savings opportunities and formally tracks and reports these opportunities monthly. Reviews and analyzes purchased product and raw material costs and cost trends. Creates monthly report of Purchase Price Variance for inbound materials, purchased inventory, and supplies. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. engineering, production) to understand material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials for production. Identifies key sales indicators for specific product lines and assists with relevant analysis for inventory and production planning and accurate lead times. Prepares and executes corrective course of action as needed. Monitor in-house non-inventory supplies and perform buying duties to ensure flow of inbound material. Manages Commodities as assigned by Purchasing Manager as needed. Track commodities price trend and maintain records. Resolves purchasing problems between departments and vendors; manages expediting on needed product and past due parts to meet production/ operational needs. Assist manager with managing plant budget, which includes controlling, material costs, inbound and outbound freight, inventory variance and obsolescence expenses. Participates in daily management huddles and meetings to support business needs. Your Skills and Expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent work experience in relevant role to Supply Chain area Years of experience. Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Buyer or Demand/Materials Planner or Buyer in a larger manufacturing organization. Intermediate or higher excel skills and knowledge of Power B.I. (Business Intelligence) . Proven ability to prioritize and organize a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment. Basic cost understanding and analysis required Strong forecasting and modeling ability and statistically inclined Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
MRP planning and execution experience a plus; MRO Buying a plus. Basic cost understanding and analysis required Understanding of continuous improvement principles and methods, including Kanban, Point of Use (POUS) material, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, etc.
