Job Description
We are seeking a
Facility Manager
at Edwards, AFB, CA.
ASRC Federal Space and Defense is looking for a Facility Manager with some experience in Construction, Valve maintenance, Piping and HVAC for long term support to our Research customer. The successful candidate will be able to perform the following work:
The successful candidate will routinely visit work offices and laboratories and evaluate work conditions. They will routinely inspect the grounds to ensure the building has no water or gas leaks and there is no damage to the entire area. They will coordinate work orders, ensure the labs are safe for outside repairman to enter and then verify the work has been successfully completed.
This position will review and perform workplace inspections to ensure all Air Force Regulations are being followed and compliance is maintained. Checking for things like the proper clearance around electrical panels, compressed gas cylinder safety, proper storage of Hazardous Materials, inspect the in-house vacuum system, monitor all safety systems to include the panels and warning lights, and ensure the proper levels of liquid Nitrogen are on hand.
The ASRC Facility Manager will keep records of maintenance and repair work.
Coordinate work with that of engineers, technicians, and other electrical or data personnel. Confer with coworkers to coordinate work activities.
Serve as the buildings Safety Representative and perform training on local policies and plans as well as manage the training records. Serve as the building safety trainer for the Chemical Hygiene Plan, Lock-out Tag-out and other facility related plans and policies. This position will serve to maintain the plans and training records as needed so they remain current and will attend the scheduled safety meetings.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and coordinate routine Lab exhaust hood airflow monitoring Monitor Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for calibration due dates. Schedule Valve maintenance with customers to ensure all equipment stays in compliance Candidate should possess mechanical knowledge and have a basic understanding of hand tooling, hand power tools, plumbing (tubing/pipe fabrication, connections), basic electrical knowledge. Candidate should be well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices. Serve as the buildings Safety Representative and perform training on local policies and plans. $78,214 - $117,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Benefits offered may include healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.

Must be able to serve many customers balancing needs and address all requests in a timely fashion keeping everyone abreast of their status. Manage the buildings Logistics Programs Serve as the buildings Safety Representative and perform training on local policies and plans. Self-motivated and a positive attitude. Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to switch tasks at a moment’s notice and walk through the safety analysis before starting the new task. Must be able to gain access to the customer’s computer networks. Education/Experience: BA/BS Degree. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but a combination of relevant work experience equivalent to four years of education may be considered 2-4 years of related experience. Clearance: Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
