Heavy Equipment Service Manager

Seeking a proven Heavy Equipment Service Manager to maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks for a metal recycling facility. Perform routine maintenance and repairs for material handling cranes and a full range of trucks, large and small equipment, and other mechanical work as assigned. Supervise two heavy equipment mechanic assistants by assigning daily work assignments. This is a Monday thru Friday day shift work schedule at our recycling yard located in Dallas, NC.

Essential Functions

· Inspect, diagnose, repair, maintain, service, a variety of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and heavy material handling equipment for proper performance.

· Trouble shoot equipment that will not run and service to get running again.

· Manage two Heavy Equipment Mechanic Assistants by assigning and monitoring daily work assignments.

· Maintain all hand and power tools in safe and efficient operating condition.

· Regulate use of equipment in the absence of supervisory personnel, if needed.

· Responsible for shop area organization, maintenance, safety, and cleanliness.

· Perform related work as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Proven Heavy Equipment Mechanic Experience - 3 years minimum

· Hydraulic Trouble Shooting Experience - 3 years minimum

· Ideally Experience with Liebherr, Atlas, Fuchs, or Sennebogen Material Handling Crane

· Electrical Trouble Shooting and Repair

· Valid Driver's License
