Position Summary: Harrison Poultry is looking for a fantastic new addition the HR Team! The Senior HR Manager will play a vital role in supporting the HR Director by leading payroll and benefits functions while assisting in all aspects of HR operations. This position will supervise Payroll and Benefits Specialists and collaborate with the HR team to ensure efficient and employee-focused service delivery. The Senior HR Manager will also assist with talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary actions, employee events, and community engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits Oversight
Supervise and support Payroll and Benefits Specialists to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and benefits administration. Address escalated payroll and benefits inquiries and resolve complex issues. Oversee open enrollment, benefits audits, and compliance with payroll and benefits regulations.
HR Operations
Assist in administrative tasks, policy updates, and compliance initiatives. Collaborate with the HR Director to streamline HR processes and enhance department efficiency.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding efforts. Assist in planning and executing new hire orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
Employee Relations & Disciplinary Actions:
Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support supervisors in addressing performance and disciplinary concerns. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws in all employee relations activities.
Engagement & Community Outreach:
Support employee engagement initiatives, including company events, recognition programs, and wellness activities. Collaborate on community outreach and partnership programs to promote Harrison Poultry's involvement in the community.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Act as a key advisor and second-in-command to the HR Director, stepping in to manage HR operations when needed. Provide leadership and mentorship to HR team members, fostering their professional growth. Partner with cross-functional departments, including Operations, IT, and Finance, to address company-wide needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including leadership roles and exposure to payroll and benefits. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, payroll systems (ADP preferred), and benefits administration. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Work Environment:
The role is primarily office-based with occasional visits to production facilities. Flexibility to address HR needs for all shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required. Compensation:
