Job Scope The Senior Director, Global Partner Development for LTG will be a results-oriented leader responsible for the identification and development of new partners and maintaining and growing existing partnerships to meet Luminex LTG financial targets across three major sectors: Diagnostics, Life Sciences, and BioPharma. The Senior Director is responsible for executing the LTG 3-year plan strategy and helping lead the Company through the next phase of its growth. This position reports directly to the Global LTG General Manager and, as a member of the global LTG Senior Staff, plays an important role as lead partner development and commercial interface with both Diasorin Corporate and Molecular/LTG Business Division leadership, internal business partners, and partners. The Senior Director, Partner Development is responsible for building and leading the LTG Global Partner Development team to expand strategic partnerships leveraging Luminex portfolio and expertise. For the global LTG business, the Senior Director of Global Partner Development will have direct responsibility for the successful and sustained commercial partnership to achieve the business division strategies and long-term plans. This role focuses on developing technology solutions to enable partners to grow their business in the diagnostics, life sciences, and biopharma segments. The Senior Director will leverage the teams and their personal knowledge of the industry to identify new partners, develop relationships, and work across functions to develop solutions. The global LTG Director will have access and work in direct collaboration across Luminex functions including LTG Marketing, Scientific Solutions, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Contracts Development teams globally. The LTG Partnership Development area is responsible for generating value and revenue through the licensing of Luminex assets, engaging in new co-development opportunities, and providing ongoing support and service to partners. The LTG Partner development is responsible for negotiating partnerships, managing new strategic partnerships, in-licensing opportunities, and alliances and/or joint ventures. The Senior Director oversees partner market analysis, monitors competitive activities, and identifies partner needs. The Senior Director is responsible for leading the global organization focused on supporting current and future LTG partners' growth strategies with products, scientific solutions, and services that best meet their needs. This role sets the direction and policies for partnership sales activities and manages the execution of these plans to develop and manage new partnership alliances that offer LTG new business opportunities. This role leads the global partner development function that supports the strategic business plan for the success of our LTG partnerships. Key Duties and Responsibilities Develops and provides strategy, vision, and direction for partnership engagement to the global LTG partner development functions. Implements appropriate LTG partner policies and practices. Provides input to executive management. Comprehensive understanding of the overall company and competitive environment. Manages the identification, creation, and management of key-account/strategic business relationships with partner companies to develop solutions and/or create complementary products/services to produce sales opportunities for the company. Manages both leaders and individual contributors and defines mutual goals and objectives and builds awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of LTG partnerships. Evangelizes LTG products in conjunction with recruiting key partnerships. Provides for financial analyses, long-range forecasting, and analysis studies associated with current and potential partnerships. Establishes metrics to assess the sales impact of the solution(s) in the marketplace and the overall success of the LTG partnerships. Monitors competitor activity in accounts and implements strategies to maintain account ownership and block competitor advancement. Establishes and develops broader company strategy and translates into multi-functional objectives. Erroneous decisions will affect the company's success with the impact of decisions felt over the long-term (more than five years). Interacts with internal and external executive-level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters. Influences policymaking and strategy based on communication strategies and persuasion skills. Partners with executive leadership team for the LTG business to provide cohesive direction towards company and business division goals. Leads activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, and services through subordinate directors/managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of assigned areas. Oversees team(s) to develop new methods and solve business division or line of business matters. Accountable for function financial results which impact organization performance. Leads team of direct reports responsible for the development of territory plans and participates in strategic and tactical planning. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Support market research collection by LTG Global Marketing group with analysis and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports. Define and drive LTG go-to-market plans in partnership with LTG Marketing team and Molecular/LTG marketing services through cross-functional Core Teams. Ensure effective guidance during product development by working with LTG Marketing to define accurate and differentiated product requirements based on global partner feedback and perspectives. Define the framework and work as a member of the LTG SLT to ensure a compelling and differentiated approach to the market and the appropriate customer segmentation to drive accelerated growth. Define and monitor KPIs for partner development activities across the business and manage accordingly. Drive decision using a fact-based and data analytics-driven approach. Ensure effective leadership of LTG partner development talent - developing the capabilities and necessary upskilling to always remain relevant and ensure growth and development of talent tied to defined partner development core competencies. This includes ensuring goals cascade, effective performance management, coaching, and talent management in alignment with Diasorin's merit principles and cultural values. Ensure effective budget management and compliance that meets all internal compliance and audit requirements and expectations. Education, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Science/Technology/Biotechnology required Master's Degree Science/Technology/Biotechnology preferred 10+ Years Deep experience in commercial, business development, and/or business Leadership roles; with 10+ years of experience in life sciences, Pharmaceuticals and/or Diagnostics required 8+ Years Extensive experience with life science or diagnostic products, development or management required 8+ Years Functional or team leadership role required 6+ Years KOL management, market development or customer engagement activities; effective presentation to external stakeholders including Investors required 6+ Years Deep understanding of alliance or partnership development, contract negotiations with previous experience serving as a subject matter expert required 4+ Years Successfully built and led teams through times of rapid change and growth; comfortable setting clear goals and setting global teams up for success required 4+ Years Global experience, with knowledge of the US and EU markets required 4+ Years Effective communication to Executives required Training and Skills Collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills and an exceptional ability to work effectively cross-functionally and with executive leadership.
