The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM's Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Regional Director, Brand Partnerships.

The Regional Director of Brand Partnerships will develop a comprehensive regional brand partnership strategy that fuels a movement of justice until all are free. You will be a critical, strategic leader within North America ensuring that a comprehensive brand partnership strategy is developed, that utilizes partners to amplify our work in North America. Under your leadership, this strategy will be responsible for all earned and paid partnerships including:
  • Sponsored tours, conferences & events for the acquisition of Freedom Partners and one-time donors;
  • Relationship management and platform engagement with professional athletes;
  • Organizational brand partners and influencers.


This position requires a highly solution-oriented leader, with a curious spirit and who is grounds their strategy with insights. The ideal candidate will be driven by an audacious spirit of "what could be" and who is deeply inspired to "see justice roar like a mighty river", until all are free.

This position is based in the Washington, DC area and is available to be hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays). It reports to the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, North America and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Key Result Areas:

The success of this role is measured by the following KRAs:
  • Maximizing athlete, artist, influencer, and conference platforms to drive revenue, awareness and advocacy across the region.
  • Under a regional strategy, with directed KPIS, develop sponsorship opportunities that align with IJM's global brand and maximize awareness and revenue for the mission.
  • Developing and implementing an earned and paid ambassador program that includes internal and external staffing for breakthrough engagements
  • Serve on IJM North America's MarComm Leadership team and collaborate with the VP of Marketing and other regional leaders to set strategy, priorities and targets for the regional mission.


Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management
  • Serve on IJM North America's MarComm Leadership team and collaborate with the VP of Marketing and other regional leaders to set strategy, priorities and targets for the regional mission.
  • Inspire, build and lead a culture of world-class professional excellence across the Brand Partnerships team.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships of trust and empowerment with Mass, MLD and MD teams.
  • Lead in the formation of new and diverse partnerships within North America, allowing for IJM to build bridges for the future.


Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation
  • Build and implement a strategy for new donor acquisition that grows exponentially year-over-year; by focusing on innovative ways to unlock new segments and audiences via program builds and partnerships.
  • Drive for scalable strategies in the program and relationship build out of with influencers and professional athletes that produces partnerships across every major league and agency.
  • Position Regional and Country leaders as the readily recognized experts, network leaders, and trusted local partners in leading the movement to end slavery and violence around the world.


Networking & Partnership
  • Represent IJM with inspiration and excellence as a high-level spokesperson for the mission.
  • Activate new and innovate new partnerships via networking and relationship management with select group of partners.
  • Inspire and drive a culture of world-class bridge-building across the IJM North America regional team that cuts through the noise to create IJM moments within pre-existing platforms.
  • Accurately forecast and achieve revenue and expense budgets.


Documentation, Reporting & Data Management
  • Accurately forecast and achieve revenue and expense budgets.
  • Data capture and hygiene that drives effectiveness and learning.
  • Ensure excellence in donor journey and experience, yielding industry-leading retention and passionate engagement.


General Tasks
  • Participate in IJM's community of spiritual formation.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Masters in related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional marketing experience.
  • 5+ years leading teams and strategy.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful brand campaigns with multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines and manage tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailoring content for intended audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle several strategic priorities at once.
  • Adept at relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.

*What is a statement of faith?
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM.
