We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a deep understanding of the electrical construction industry, particularly within commercial and industrial large construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of progressively responsible experience and a strong background in project management, estimation, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, project team, and office support.
Manage single or multiple contracts, budgets, procurement matrices, schedules, project planning, and execution.
Review and monitor project costs versus budgets for multiple projects and/or program level contracts ($25M+ single or cumulative).
Coordinate quality assurance and quality control for the project with the Quality Manager.
Ensure work is consistent with plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and integration scope.
Resolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts, and delays to meet project goals and milestones.
Coordinate with internal and external procurement/purchasing teams to ensure timely receipt of materials needed for project integration.
Act as an interface between the IM Engineering team and internal clients, including Production, Quality, Logistics, and Safety teams.
Assist in the development and improvement of electrical engineering standards, implementing industry and company best practices.
Lead project/program meetings and conference calls; participate in engineering, design, and constructability review processes.
Lead or assist with investigations, including root cause analysis as needed.
Submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage change orders.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry, focusing on commercial and industrial large construction projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Prior knowledge and understanding of the estimating process.
Experience with ACCUBID and/or CONEST is a plus.
Ability to understand, evaluate, and build complex project schedules utilizing MS Project.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills and familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint.
Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Willingness to travel outside of the DFW/N TX area is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in construction management.
Knowledge of electrical and industrial construction.
Experience with commercial construction projects.
Familiarity with OSHA standards.
Work Environment
This position involves working in both office and field environments. The role requires proficiency with various technologies and software, including MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Teams, and SharePoint. The candidate should be prepared for potential travel outside of the DFW/N TX area.
