The Compliance Specialist supports all compliance and regulatory functions for the Food Safety and Compliance group; develop and maintain reporting systems for all third-party audits, Westrock Coffee's Quality management systems, supplier compliance and supplier management system. This role manages all documentation relating to company certifications like organic, kosher and sustainability programs. This position reports to the Sr. FSQA Manager.
Primary job responsibilities include: Assists in developing, implementing, communicating, and maintaining Westrock Coffee's Quality Management System Manages certification programs, certification audits and documentation associated with the same Works cross functionally to help manage 3rd party audit systems like SQF, customer and regulatory audits Manages supplier compliance by managing TraceGains system and communicating Westrock Coffee's quality requirements to Suppliers and ensure compliance. Helps manage and track customer complaints and CAPA programs. Helps monitor and maintain pre-requisite programs & training. Maintains raw material specifications, supplier management, and supplier compliance documentation and implementation of systematized tracking in Supply Chain Management and Quality Management systems as needed. Supports raw material supplier/contract manufactured/allied evaluation program by tracking supplier performance related to customer complaints, ongoing quality, documentation compliance, and other as needed. Evaluates new ingredients to ensure absence of allergens, absence of gluten, supplied by a GFSI certified supplier, and Kosher certified. Follows all policies, procedures, standards, and safety requirements. May travel as needed to support compliance efforts (up to 25% travel is anticipated with this role) Performs other duties as requested by management.

Experience in quality assurance or product development, and with food safety programs in a food-manufacturing environment, is strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, or other relevant degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, HACCP and other technical aspects of food manufacturing Experience and knowledge with computer-based quality management and tracking systems, including Microsoft Office and Office-based database systems Ability to write/audit SOPs to ensure compliance with food safety requirements. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization Ability to work cross-functionally and in teams in a variety of fast-moving situations and markets -- responding quickly to information request from internal and external customers
