Job Summary
Trane Technologies is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader! The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of team members employed to work in a given department to ensure operations run seamlessly. They will focus their efforts on operational excellence, training, communication, and various other activities within the warehouse. They are responsible for coordinating work assignments and facilitating safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and training accomplishments of their assigned team while modeling servant leadership and developing team members. He/she is always on the floor to monitor and evaluate the performance of workers and ensure that work equipment is available. The hours for this role are 6:00a-2:30p.
Responsibilities:
Overall performance responsibility and coaching for performance
Completes hour by hour productivity and reports out on daily performance
Learns lean fundamentals and implements lean thinking in daily work
Process owner for inbound, outbound, and the Value-Added Services (VAS) department, including continuous improvement of the process
Manages the workload of the team to maximize productivity to support the business’s needs
Performs standard work, material handling roles as needed, and behavior-based safety audits
Responsible for creating and maintaining standard work for warehouse processes
Leads and participates in employee engagement activities and employee committees
Works cross-functionally with other departments to improve current processes
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
Answers a wide variety of questions from internal and external customers
Demonstrates ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament
Assist in and support the development and training of employees, process improvements, and continuous learning
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of Lean preferred
Must have good communication skills
Team focused and inclusive across teams and shifts
Must be able to demonstrate sustained exemplary performance in attitude, attendance, and ability
Must display initiative and creativity in problem solving
Must be able to promote continuous improvement in products, services and processes
Strong computer skills. (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
