JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a CNC Programmer responsible for developing programs that control the operations of CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This individual will play a key role in translating engineering designs into accurate machine instructions. Key Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis CNC machines based on engineering drawings and models. Collaborate with the engineering team to review technical designs, ensuring that CNC programs meet design specifications. Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feeds for efficient machining processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programming, tooling, or machining processes. Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to programs for accuracy and efficiency. Maintain CNC program files, ensuring proper documentation and version control. Continuously evaluate and improve machining processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Communicate with CNC operators to ensure successful execution of programs and provide support as needed. Assist in training CNC operators on the proper execution of new programs and machine setups. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment. Required Qualifications Experience in CNC programming with a strong understanding of G-code and M-code. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software to create and edit CNC programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models. High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in a technical field or completion of a related apprenticeship program preferred. 2-3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Familiarity with 3-axis CNC machines and related tooling. Understanding of applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. Work Environment Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees fahrenheit at times. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
