Kelly Services is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for a busy manufacturer located in Longwood, FL 32750

Job Title: Mill Machinist Programmer and Setup
As a Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for loading and unloading raw materials, using measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements, reducing setup and machining time through process improvements, inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications, and performing daily maintenance of company equipment. You will also play a crucial role in training newer employees and providing feedback for process improvement.

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time/ Temp to hire
- Pay Rate: $22+ Depends on Experience
- Shift: weekend Fri-Sun 6am-6pm 12 hours

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload raw materials
- Proficiently use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Use hand tools and cutting tools effectively
- Reduce setup time and machining time through process improvements
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using tools such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, rulers, etc.
- Perform geometry and tool wear offsets
- Clean and perform daily/preventative maintenance of company equipment
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the Machine Shop work environment
- Utilize and abide by AS9100 requirements and safety procedures
- Train newer employees/co-workers on manufacturing processes and procedures
- Perform geometry, tool wear offsets, and program edits
- Provide feedback and input for process improvement
- Comply with all quality policies and instructions
- Track/record job progress and deficiencies daily in both written and electronic formats

Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of CNC Mills experience, program and setup
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints
- Proficient understanding of and ability to accurately use measuring instruments
- Ability to turn on, set up, and operate lathes and/or mills with minimal assistance
- Proficient knowledge of various CNC controls and M and G code
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Keen attention to detail and quality
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Self-sufficient and able to work independently
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
