Job Objective:
Provide technical and economic evaluation of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and project developments, incorporating engineering, operations, commercial, and project management (cost, schedule, risk) scopes.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a critical team member in evaluating upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas technical data for acquisitions, divestitures, and new project development.
- Leverage past experience to analyze asset/project scope, including technologies and operations feasibility, as well as confidence in cost, schedule, and risk.
- Build cash flow models to identify and quantify risked scenarios (downside to upside) for potential assets/projects.
- Investigate opportunities using various sources (e.g., industry network, vendors, SEC filings, company reports, subscription services like FactSet, Platts, Enverus) to justify scope and valuation.
- Present findings to senior management, including technical facts, economic analysis, and opinions on future development and use of assets/projects.
- Coordinate the work of subject matter experts across the company to achieve comprehensive evaluations.
- Participate in data rooms.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the oil and gas industry (upstream, midstream, and/or downstream) in technical positions of increasing responsibility.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in acquisitions/divestitures/project technical evaluations.
- Ability to accurately and quickly solve problems and make technical decisions.
- Well-rounded knowledge of the oil and gas industry (upstream, midstream, and downstream), including engineering, operations, marketing, commercial, and finance.
- Ability to supervise engineering techs and external consultants.
- Ability to demonstrate strong, dynamic team leadership skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks with differing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Excellent management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to process large volumes of data and condense it into a workable form.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Education Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in engineering.
- Preferred: MBA
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Preferred: Registered Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional (PMP)
