ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full-time, skilled, detail-oriented, well-organized Asbestos/Lead Inspector. We are looking for either an experienced and/or entry-level professional. Responsibilities Complete NESHAP asbestos inspections and other sampling of asbestos-containing materials in vacant and occupied commercial, industrial and residential buildings Complete lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in vacant and occupied residential buildings, including the collection of paint chips, surface dust and soil samples Complete lead surveys and personal exposure assessments in various settings Perform Lead-in-Drinking Water sampling Perform Radon testing Assist with mold and/or indoor air quality evaluations including the collection of air, bulk and swab samples for mold Independently operate sampling equipment and direct reading instruments Environmental data management and analysis Assist in report writing, including preparation of abatement specifications Interface with client on jobsite Adheres to company policies and safety guidelines, along with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations Perform abatement oversight, air monitoring and on-site microscopic analysis utilizing NIOSH 582 methods Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, required Current Asbestos Inspector License, NIOSH 582 Certification and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certifications preferred Current Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor License and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certifications preferred Proven writing and communication skills Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
