Location: Longview, WA Rate: $48.48 Summary: As an E&I Technician you will have complete involvement in routine or emergency maintenance as well as corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance and basic care for all electrical and mechanical equipment and their related controls. Responsibilities: Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, calibrate and test a wide variety of instrumentation (including but not limited to transmitters, actuators, environmental analyzers, sensors, Encoders, potentiometers, meters, tubing and control valves) for improved reliability and uptime. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and metering control instruments to include but would not be limited to control valves, transmitters, heat trace panels, cylinders, solenoid valves etc. Troubleshoots telemetry and process controller hardware, maintains a functional knowledge of the operation of the telemetry system software and hardware. Read, interpret and perform wiring tasks according to specifications and schematics for the installation and repair of Corrugated equipment. Troubleshoot PLC, and software and hardware, making recommendations and performing software changes. Troubleshoots, repairs and installs wiring circuits, transformers, motors, variable frequency drives, Servo drives, protective devices, control devices, and lighting system in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Safely work with a wide variety of precision hand and power tools related to field and shop work such as electronic and electric test equipment, etc. Work with other departments in the planning of and installation of new equipment and system upgrades. E&I Technicians perform a variety of maintenance related tasks in connection with the maintenance department to improve the reliability and uptime of equipment used in the Corrugating manufacturing process. Requirements: Must have at least four years\u2019 experience working in an industrial maintenance environment as a Journeyman level E&I Technician or two years\u2019 experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment as a Journeyman Electrician or Instrument Technician and two years formal education (certified trade school program) in either Electrical or Instrumentation. A Journeyman License, Preferred Firm understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics. 3 years of electrical experience under a qualified journeyman electrician, preferred. Working under the direction of a state licensed journeyman, preferred. Working within a company defined program with 2 years of directed experience and passing of a proficiency test, preferred. Basic knowledge and experience in computer usage. The starting rate for this position is $48.48, depending on your role, level and location.
