Corporate Development Associate / Manager

ABOUT THIS POSITION The Corporate Development Manager will play a key role in the execution of potential mergers & acquisitions for Waystar. M&A has and continues to serve as a critical lever for Waystar’s future growth and overarching strategy of integrating transformational technologies onto a single instance cloud-based platform. Since Waystar’s founding with the merger of Navicure and ZirMed in 2017, the Company has made nine acquisitions and recently went public via an IPO on the NASDAQ stock exchange. This position will be responsible for helping lead transaction due diligence, developing comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses, presentation materials, as well as a variety of other tasks to facilitate the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of M&A transactions as well as to inform corporate strategy decisions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent quantitative and financial modeling skills, be a self-starter and demonstrate strong business acumen. The ideal candidate will have M&A transaction experience, including relevant experience in corporate development, private equity, or investment banking. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development. WHAT YOU'LL DO Play a critical role in executing strategic acquisitions within the healthcare technology sector Lead aspects of financial analysis including the development of comprehensive valuation and transaction structure analyses Support all aspects of M&A execution including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, third party diligence workstreams, and creation of due diligence summaries Support the regular updating and reporting of the corporate development pipeline Continuously learn from being exposed to deal structuring, diligence, communication, valuation, and documentation that are integral aspects of all deal execution Support communications to senior leadership and private equity investors throughout all phases of an M&A transaction from strategy formation through deal execution Other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's Degree 4-7 years of relevant M&A experience required (including investment banking, corporate development, and/or private equity) Highly analytical and proficient with quantitative analysis, use of Excel and keen attention to detail Superior skills in financial modeling and other financial due diligence Self-motivated and high energy; can easily function in a high-demand, performance-driven environment. Experience managing M&A deal processes through the deal execution lifecycle Clear and effective communication, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex information concisely to leaders Healthcare technology or software industry experience is preferred, but not required BONUS POINTS High-level of enthusiasm and organizational skills Familiarity with the revenue cycle software market Excellent oral and written communication skills with great attention to detail ABOUT WAYSTAR Through a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.
