responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy of monthly activity rates and standard costs to support month-end close reporting.
Monitor and analyze variance accounts, investigate discrepancies, and execute corrective adjustments.
Review and approve journal entries related to cost and inventory accounting.
Recommend and enforce internal controls and financial procedures in alignment with SOX standards.
Update cost standards to reflect changes in material and labor pricing.
Reconcile inventory accounts and oversee inventory activities.
Generate detailed reports and perform data analysis to support cross-departmental initiatives.
Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to improve reporting processes.
Contribute to monthly financial analysis by comparing results against forecasts and budgets.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SOX compliance and internal control procedures.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
