Floor Supporters
to join our Inventory Control team at our warehouses in
Highland Park or Detroit . Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Inventory Floor Supporter is responsible for the inventory integrity for the assigned facility. This position ensures all locations have scannable stickers on both the pick and replenishment sides while printing and replacing stickers as needed. The Inventory Floor Supporter will also address and log worker errors, including improperly handled breakage, items in wrong locations, compromised shippers (cases), improper replenishment, improper put-away, and work zone resets. Other duties include but not limited to:
Audit locations for proper inventory, conditions, rotation, and items; making corrections as needed
Perform miscellaneous checks as necessary, including UPCs and Vintages
Ensure proper and safe use of all equipment assigned including proper storage, retrieval of equipment and reporting of issues
Verify empty slots
Assist with store closures and distributor purchases
Inform Warehouse Management of union work outside the realm of Inventory Control

The Inventory Floor Supporter position operates in a warehouse environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations where the noise level can be loud. This position is also very active and must frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop and climb throughout the day while lifting, stacking, moving, and rotating with items, without handles, that weigh up to 35 pounds; push/pull carts with up to 45 pounds of force. This position is required to operate warehouse equipment and to regularly read, write and communicate in English. Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with daytime hours Monday through Friday working 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Occasional weekend hours may be required as schedule demands. Pay & Benefits
$18.00 per hour

Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 2 years of warehouse distribution experience.
Minimum 1 year of operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks.
Ability to be active and on your feet for an entire shift.
Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 lbs., and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office including the latest versions of Outlook, Excel, and Word
Additional Requirements
Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.
Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings including a full Background Check, 10-Panel Drug Test, Physical Evaluation, and Agility Test
