Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead. This position will be located at our Rumford, RI facility.
The Continuous Improvement Lead will support the deployment of the site’s continuous improvement vision and strategy through the implementation of lean tools to drive improvements in key metrics. This includes Lean and Six Sigma process execution and training, as well as being a key driver of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Factory Cost Out (FCO) projects. The Continuous Improvement Lead will be a change agent, supporting all value streams by leading and driving cross-functional problem solving and lean improvement initiatives that span across a wide array of functions across the site.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
• Lead lean continuous improvement initiatives from concept to implementation, working closely with supporting functions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and frontline supervisors to develop and complete improvement plans using lean and six sigma tools and strategies.
• Provide hands-on training and implementation support for lean, six sigma tools, and improvement projects.
• Facilitate Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) deployment which includes conducting self-assessments and identifying gaps and strategies to overcome them.
• Actively strive to improve manufacturing processes by utilizing variation reduction methodologies such as standard work, poke yoke, DOE, SPC, Six Sigma, and A3 Reports.
• Conduct, assist, and measure the success of Cost Out and Capital projects.
• Complete time studies to measure process performance.
• Use data to identify and implement improvements to improve efficiency, capability, reduce variation, and quality of processes.
• Lead cross functional teams through manufacturing flow optimization and layout enhancement improvement projects.
• Work with Regional/Divisional CI manager to ensure alignment of plant CI activities to broader functional strategy and vision.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing engineering experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience leading continuous improvement efforts.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Rumford, RI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience leading Lean and Six Sigma projects in a low volume high mix manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with integrating automation into low volume manufacturing environment.
• Equipment, tooling, and fixture design and/or improvement.
• GD&T experience.
Skills:
• Ability to communication effectively with all levels of organization, from production to leadership.
• Strong project and time management, organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience with implementing VSM, standard work, 5S, team problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
