Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Director of AAMU RISE Foundation
- Provide support for general administrative assistance to the AAMU-RISE Foundation.
- Utilize timecard systems under supervision.
- Oversees and/or performs diverse administrative activities for AAMU RISE Foundation; serves as a central liaison point with Principal Investigators, consultants, and full-time/part-time employees.
- Schedules appointments and maintains calendars; schedules, coordinates, and facilitates meetings, facilities usage, events, and/or travel arrangements, as required.
- Run a detailed inventory of office supplies.
- Establishes, updates, and maintains unit's files, inventories, and records; implements and maintains data management systems, as required.
- Provides and/or oversees support activities for AAMU RISE, such as answering telephones, assisting and resolving problems and inquiries of visitors, reviewing, and control of incoming and outgoing correspondence, and following up on operational commitments.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree
- At least three (3) years of experience that is directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to be able to create, compose, and edit written materials
- To be able to maintain confidentiality
- Database management skills
- Knowledge of human resources concepts, practices, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of software applications
