12+ Months Job Description: We are seeking an experienced
Network Architect
to join our team and support the client. The ideal candidate will have expertise in network planning, architecture design, engineering, and optimization, with strong communication and documentation skills. This role requires hands-on experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions. Responsibilities: Analyze and document the Agencys network topology and security strategies. Identify and report architectural, design, and security deficiencies. Develop enhanced network security strategies for on-premises and Azure environments. Present detailed recommendations for improvement in network security, scalability, and resiliency. Create and deliver implementation plans for proposed improvements. Assess the feasibility, pros and cons of SD-WAN, including cost and implementation plans. Drive continuous improvement and optimization of network infrastructure. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for proposed designs. Facilitate knowledge transfer to FDACS staff. Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years of IT work experience
in infrastructure/network environments performing network planning, architecture design, engineering, and optimization. Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing). Experience in designing Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting routing and switching. Proficiency in configuring and administering Next-Generation Firewalls. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in assessing network topology and architecture. Experience with wireless infrastructure design, management, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with designing Zero Trust Architecture. Experience with hybrid and cloud telephony/VoIP architecture and design. Knowledge of Azure networking architecture, design, and hardening. Hands-on experience with Palo Alto hardware. Proficiency in implementing remote access solutions.
