Job Duties: Responsible for leading the Quality and Inspection Team at the facility in developing and maintaining a system to ensure all products supplied by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. A background in precision machinery and inspecting aircraft parts in a quality assurance role is desirable.
Responsibilities: Implements programs to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products meet company’s quality standards. Will be responsible for writing/creating an AS9100 Certified Quality Manual. Able to perform inspections AS9102 First Article Inspection Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers for all nonconformance documentation, including root cause analysis, 5Why, Fishbone diagrams, Responsible to initiate and close the resolution of al customer corrective actions. Responsible to initiate and close the resolution of all non-conformance material received A key function of this job is checking parts for nonconformance (dimensions, size, etc.), which are being sold to their clients and vendors. Will review CAD drawings of parts to ensure the size and dimensions are accurate and meet clients’ specifications. Preforms KPI monthly reports Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required Prepares and analyze quarterly on time Customer delivery analysis report Prepares and analyze quarterly on time Supplier delivery analysis report Maintain or upgrade organizational certifications, e.g., ISO9000, AS9120 Rev D, etc. Ongoing management of the quality system in accordance with AS9120 and AS9100 Ensures customer and supplier quality requirements are achieved Effective management of the quality department’s resources Motivates, trains and develop quality personnel Responsible for ensuring that all inspection equipment is calibrated and in a working condition in a manufacturing setting. Directly supervise the integrity of the calibration system Able to Inspects completed parts and assemblies. Verifies correctness of documentation and routes material to the next operation or rejection material and prepares a rejection report. Promote and develop continuous improvement techniques Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Leads and Preforms Monthly Internal audits to ensure compliance of our internal QMS. Incorporate statistical control programs and report quality performance trends to the management team including major issues which could affect business performance
EDUCATION BS degree in an engineering discipline is required (BS in Mechanical engineering preferred). Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance field Must have a minimum of 10 years of Supervisory/Manager experience Must be proficient in MS programs (i.e., Word and Excel and PowerPoint, etc.).
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES ASQ Certified manager of quality and organizational Excellence. Significant knowledge and experience with the ISO and AS9100 or AS9120 system. Experience writing/creating an AS9100 Certified Quality Manual. Aircraft and/or military hardware and parts knowledge A background in precision machinery and inspecting aircraft parts is desirable. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written Understanding of Federal Aviation Authority policies and procedures Must be extremely detail oriented
