Job Summary:
This role will provide strategic and operational HR support for DyStar Americas Region. This includes supporting business and people strategies which are in line with global objectives and frameworks set by Global HR and DyStar.
Lead, guide, supervise and manage a team of HR professionals in Americas Region, namely USA, Mexico and Brazil to provide HR services on a variety of HR initiatives. This includes but not limited to workforce/resource planning, recruitment, induction, compensation & benefits, training & development, organization development, job design, performance/target management, talent management, succession planning, communication and employee/industrial relations.
Ensure decisions are compliant with all statutory legislations, Companys policies, guidelines, Delegation of Authority (DOA) and CBAs, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Be the business partner to the Country Heads and HODs to ensure HR Policies & Procedures are rolled out, aligned with Global objectives and complied with respective local regulations for the region.
Provide HR advisory to support Management and Line Managers on HR matters.
Attend to and coordinate all responses for Americas HR related queries from Global HR.
Roll out and coordinate implementation of all new Global HR initiatives in the Americas.
Coordinate, submit and obtain all HR related DOA approvals within Americas.
Review and submit various monthly, quarterly and annual HR reports to Global HR for Americas.
Lead, motivate, develop and coach the HR team; Set performance standards, evaluate performance and provide regular feedback to local HR teams.
Oversee payroll and benefits administration
Manage recruitment process timely - source and hire qualified staff within Companys budget
Manage Compensation and Benefits process in accordance with Global guideline.
Lead, coordinate and ensure timely and accurate submission of annual salary & bonus/sales commission reviews for approval.
Drive a high performance culture with support on annual Performance Review; coordinate and submit annual target setting, approvals and rollout.
Manage timeline completion of annual performance appraisals with respective managers in Americas.
Drive Talent Management and Succession Plan; identify and develop High Potentials by putting the right people in the right place in building internal talent.
Develop succession plan for critical positions with identification of successors and development plans
Drive Employees Engagement initiatives including employees communication, team meetings, feedback sessions and recognition programs to further improve employee relations, morale and communication for enhancing employees productivity and service efficiency.
Maintain collaborative and harmonious industrial relationship with Companys unions and cordially conclude the CBA negotiations
Manage training and development process
Ensure Employee Handbook is updated, available and uploaded in SharePoint.
Ensure up to date records are available for all employment contracts and job descriptions/job grade evaluations
Manage headcount budget process with RVP and functional leaders; and headcount approval process with GHR.
Perform other duties assigned by GHR, RVP, MD & President and undertake ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in HRM or a related field
Minimum five years in a similar Regional HR Leadership role in an MNC environment with manufacturing and commercial set up
A seasoned HR Practitioner with proven track record and a strategic HR Business Partner who is hands-on operationally
Strong leadership and people management skills with good change management experience.
Sound understanding and application of the employment laws within Americas region. Experience in dealing with union with be an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
High energy, self-motivated and results oriented
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability and able to navigate in a matrix organization and handles ambiguity effectively.
Proficient in MS office, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
