Position Description Summary
The GIS Specialist III role involves managing and maintaining GIS-related data, including the Indoors Information Model (IIM), developing GIS web applications and dashboards, ensuring data quality, and supporting logistical and construction projects.
Essential Job Duties
Serve as a specialist in GIS ArcMap and GIS ArcPro.
Collaborate with the Logistics Program Manager for reporting and logistical needs.
Participate in Project Evaluation Review Team (PERT) weekly meetings to collect and organize data for project coordination.
Supervise the GIS team for logistical coordination of airfield, terminal, and roadway projects.
Prepare mapping deliverables using ArcPro and ArcMap for construction laydown areas, gate closures, and CIP Integrated Program.
Develop and enhance GIS systems in collaboration with developers.
Maintain project-related data to minimize construction conflicts.
Support the CALM SharePoint GIS/ArcGIS Server web portal for map display and schedule management.
Conduct space-time analysis for terminal construction projects to identify scheduling conflicts.
Create and maintain mappings for airfield, landside, and terminal construction.
Attend project meetings to assess time and space conflicts for new project phases.
Work with the CIP Global Scheduler to ensure accurate data for CIP and non-CIP projects.
Use Primavera P6 for coordination logistics schedules and histograms.
Maintain the Logistics Program Dashboard.
Proficiently utilize Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel.
Manage the Logistics Management Team SharePoint site.
Track costs for airport police support related to construction activities.
Pass a federal background check and obtain an LAWA badge.

Professional Experience Level/Other Qualification
10 years or more of experience in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online / Enterprise, including indoor maping and spatial and network analysis.
Experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, and C++ programming languages
Work experience with real-time data and Autodesk products is a plus
GIS Professional (GISP) and other relevant certifications.
Education/Training
Masters degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
