What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP Sustainability iXp Intern – Software Developer

Location: Palo Alto, California

Expected start date to end date: January 12th, 2025 – July 30th, 2025

Expected Hours: 40/ week

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Student to join our team that's focused on shaping and delivering the future of GenAI capabilities across our SAP Sustainability Solution. As part of our dynamic team, your innovative thinking, automation seeking, collaborative attitude, and eagerness to take on challenges will contribute directly to the user experience and adoption of our services.

What you bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Student at a university or university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, Bachelor’s or Master’s level
• Good coding skills in Python, Java, or a similar language
• Experience in source code management (e.g., git)
• Experience in AI/GenAI (LLMs, RAG, Auto Gen...) is a plus

• Experience in UI development is a plus
• Enjoy writing code, self-organized, proactive
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong collaboration skills.
• A keenness to constantly learn about new topics in the rapidly changing world of software development and AI.
• Passion for improving processes, user experiences, and enabling automation.

Meet your team:

The Sustainability Innovation team is part of Sustainability Engineering. The area is located in the OCEO Board area, to further accelerate growth for the sustainability business and underscore the strategic importance of that topic. The mandate of the Sustainability Innovation team is to support the digital sustainability transformation of SAP customers by E2E orchestration of ecosystem innovation, government funded projects, academia and accelerate organic innovation incubation with a holistic focus on sustainability.

The SAP Sustainability Innovation team, located in several locations around the globe, works closely with product teams and stakeholders across the entire internal and external value chain to orchestrate innovation.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
