Analyze production costs, overhead, and variances to provide detailed reports on cost performance. Prepare and present cost reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends. Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliations & providing support to Operations with cycle count analysis and reporting. Ensure accurate valuation of inventory and report on inventory discrepancies. Identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements. Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives. Review and maintain standard costs for products by comparing actual manufacturing performance to standard and current costs. Update costs as necessary for changes in labor, materials, and overhead. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Work closely with production, procurement, and other departments to gather and analyze cost-related data. Provide financial guidance and support to other teams within the organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CMA Certification is a plus
3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field, preferably within manufacturing or production environments
Successful completion of 60-day probationary period
Work Environment
This role involves working closely with production, procurement, and other departments. The position requires proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with a preference for SyteLine. Advanced Excel skills, including the use of complex formulas and pivot tables, are also essential. The work environment values accuracy, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across departments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
