Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Psychiatry in Idaho

Job Title: Physician Specialty: Psychiatry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hours Day Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Must be Board Certified Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Acute psychiatric unit/institute experience - Ability to see 14 patients per day independently, up to 19 with APP Job Description: - Work schedule from 7 AM Tuesday to 7 AM the following Tuesday - Start on-site duties at 8 AM, with treatment team attendance at 8:30 AM - Meet with assigned patients daily - On-call duties beginning at 5 PM to address unit needs and potential admissions - Evaluate new admissions to determine appropriateness for the unit - Provide urgent care for patients acting out or requiring medication adjustments - Collaborate and work alongside a Mid-Level provider - Required to handle approximately 9-10 patient encounters per shift - Work in a unit with 19 beds - Expertise in managing various psychiatric disorders and conditions including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders - Familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application - Proficiency in pharmacotherapy; group and family therapy skills preferred Facility Information: - Trauma Level: 4 - Pediatric Level: 0 - Nearest Airport: Pocatello Note: This position is for Locum Tenens and does not allow bids from providers with IMLC.
