Job Purpose
The Senior Business Planning Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations. The ideal candidate will also have the capability to build robust relationships across various departments and companies.
Key Accountabilities Regional Business Planning Senior Analyst: Independently analyze and evaluate business processes to identify areas for improvement. This will require a deep understanding of the NA region's strategic direction and an ability to analyze / determine what activities are required to accomplish the strategy. Collaborate with regional leaders to develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with various business units and divisions to gather data, analyze it and make recommendations. Lead development of executive level reports and presentations that clearly communicate the strategy and direction. Monitor and track the performance of implemented strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Communicate strategy across the region and foster cross-company information exchange and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
NAROB Secretariat: Lead/ facilitate NAROB (North American Operating Board) executive discussions Independently coordinate regional schedules, timing, and logistics with various parties [NAROB, VP's, Business Planners, etc.) for both recurring monthly/annual meetings and ad-hoc meetings (NAROB, BRM, BIM Development, etc.) Develop meeting material and visual communication tools. Audit meeting topics to ensure alignment with NAROB Guidelines (Legal Document) and clearly document interpretation and conclusion. Ensure required documents are maintained and archived to comply with owned SOX Control. Track and coordinate required return topics identified by NAROB to ensure they are done timely and completely.
Regional Planning Division Business Planning Lead Independently work with Department Managers and above to develop a 3-year strategic plan that will improve the business characteristics of Regional Planning while also aligning/supporting with the North American strategic direction. Establish KPIs that will drive desired behavior and will help in the achievement of the overall North American targets. Oversee the entire process independently. Perform independent research on the external environment (political, environmental, auto industry, etc.) and internal environment (associate engagement, electrification, sustainability, joint ventures, etc.) to independently realize challenges/risks that require a mid-term initiative to counter-measure exposure. Manage quarterly evaluation of division's KPIs. Develop GAP analysis for targets missed and report findings with proposed countermeasures to upper management. Independently facilitate cross-functional correlation meetings surrounding identified strategic initiatives that require external support to result in successful execution. Create materials and references for executive meetings to clearly communicate logic and evolution of the mid-term strategic plan. Present materials to EVP, BULs and Managers of Corporate Services Develop tools and a process for tracking, managing, and reporting operational activities for the division. Individual will be responsible for managing process once established. Identify areas for improvement and implement a sustainable solution. Lead the budget & resource process in parallel with above responsibilities. Manage division budget and report to upper management monthly. Research any variances, report-out countermeasure, implement, and manage countermeasure to close the variance gap. Independent work on associate's own initiative to better understand Honda alignments, processes, and business goals.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience 5+ years of similar work experience; business administration, business strategy and/or project management or related field. Foundation of financial acumen Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization. Good customer service and collaboration skills. Ability to use both visual and verbal communication tools to clarify situations and build toward common understanding and consensus. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. Flexibility to adjust to meet dynamics in market, between companies, and within workplace Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools. Strong organizational and time management skills.
