Director of Organizational and Professional Development The Director of Organizational and Professional Development will design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, leadership capability, and a culture of continuous improvement. This role will drive talent management, performance, DEIB initiatives, and leadership development within a growing dialysis organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in organizational dynamics, a passion for people development, and experience fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Essential Functions Strategic Planning and Program Design a. Develop and implement an OD and leadership development strategy aligned with company goals, emphasizing patient care excellence, employee engagement, and leadership growth. b. Partner with senior leadership to assess organizational needs, identify skill gaps, and design initiatives that support the company's mission, vision, and values. c. Collaborate with HR, clinical, and operational teams to integrate OD and leadership programs that enhance performance at all organizational levels. Leadership Development a. Design and oversee a robust leadership development program, including succession planning, leadership assessments, coaching, and training pathways for emerging, mid-level, and senior leaders. b. Introduce evidence-based leadership models and frameworks that reflect industry best practices, particularly in healthcare and dialysis-related contexts. c. Support leaders in strengthening team culture, improving communication, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Organizational Development & Change Management a. Lead organizational effectiveness initiatives such as workforce planning, talent management, and performance improvement to drive operational success. b. Create and manage change management programs to support growth initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained employee engagement. c. Design and implement systems for capturing, analyzing, and reporting on OD metrics and KPIs to measure program impact and inform decision-making. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) a. Partner with DEIB and HR teams to create and promote an inclusive workplace culture where employees feel a strong sense of belonging. b. Develop training and awareness programs that support diverse hiring, employee retention, and professional development, aligned with the organization's DEIB goals. c. Monitor, report, and improve DEIB metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability within the organization. Performance Management and Talent Development a. Design, implement, and continuously improve performance management processes that align with the company's goals and support employee growth. b. Develop and roll out competency models, career progression frameworks, and personalized development plans to foster employee career growth. c. Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs, workshops, and e-learning that promote skill-building and knowledge transfer. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication a. Build relationships across functions, working closely with clinical leaders, HR business partners, and executives to ensure program alignment with business objectives. b. Develop and execute communication strategies to keep employees informed about OD and leadership initiatives, progress, and success stories.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field; Master's preferred. 8+ years in organizational development, leadership development, or talent management, preferably in healthcare or dialysis. Expertise in OD, performance management, and leadership development methodologies. Proven experience designing and implementing OD and leadership programs in multi-site or healthcare organizations. Strong understanding of DEIB principles and building inclusive cultures. Expertise in change management and organizational effectiveness. Data-driven, with experience using analytics for decision-making and impact measurement. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills. Strategic thinker with practical implementation ability. Familiarity with healthcare/dialysis industry trends and clinical workforce needs. Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize. Ability to influence and engage senior leadership and frontline employees. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
