SENIOR CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT Location: Hybrid, Morrisville, NC (2-3 days in office, remaining days remote) A publicly traded agricultural company with a global reach is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to support its growing Corporate Accounting team. Based in the Research Triangle Park region, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with a talented and collaborative team while participating in global reporting and consolidation. This position is ideal for a CPA with experience in public accounting or corporate settings, especially those with a background in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting. Position Overview: The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a key contributor to the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and reporting processes. Working under the Corporate Controller, this role involves entity-level financial analysis, coordination with auditors, and supporting the SEC filing process. You’ll also contribute to policy and process improvements to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, as well as support strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial data, including preparing consolidation entries and reconciliations. Perform financial review and analysis of entity-level statements, including quarterly accounting schedules and U.S. GAAP alignment. Manage specific accounting issues, performing research and ensuring appropriate presentation in financial statements. Prepare consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and Management’s Discussion and Analysis for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K). Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and thorough responses during audits. Maintain and update accounting policies and systems, with a focus on continuous process improvements. Act as the control performer for key accounting and reporting controls, ensuring SOX compliance. Participate in special accounting and financial projects related to company strategic initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active pursuit of CPA. 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting department. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and SOX compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently within a hybrid setup. Willingness to work extended hours during quarterly reporting and open to international travel (potentially once per year).
