About the position:
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations, strategic initiatives, and growth objectives of a private equity-backed medspa management service organization. The analyst will work closely with the finance, operations, and executive teams to provide insights into financial performance, track KPIs, and conduct financial modeling for acquisitions and expansions. Success in this role will be measured by the Analyst’s ability to deliver accurate insights, optimize financial models, and contribute directly to informed decision-making that drives company growth.
What You Will Focus On:
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, reports, and KPIs to monitor the company’s performance across multiple medspa locations.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to present insights on revenue, expenses, profitability, and variances to budget or forecast.
- Perform data analysis to uncover trends and provide insights into key areas, including patient demographics, revenue patterns, service-line profitability, and customer retention.
- Identify and analyze data to drive optimization across marketing, operations, and finance, using predictive analytics where applicable to forecast future trends and patient volume.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Support long-range planning and scenario analysis to guide decision-making and identify potential growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the M&A and Business Development teams to evaluate the financial performance of target medspas, assess risks and synergies, and conduct quality-of-earnings analyses during the due diligence process.
- Develop and track KPIs specific to the medspa industry (e.g., revenue per client, average spend, and same-store growth).
- Analyze patient volume, revenue trends, and operational efficiencies to identify areas for performance improvement across locations.
- Work with operations and marketing teams to develop insights into patient demographics, service line profitability, and promotional ROI.
- Support senior leadership in developing strategies to optimize existing operations and streamline processes in alignment with growth objectives.
- Create ad-hoc financial models and analysis to support business initiatives, new service lines, and changes in operating structures.
- Analyze pricing, profitability, and margin optimization to support the MSO’s financial health and competitive positioning.
- Manage data cleansing, transformation, and ownership to ensure accuracy and reliability, leveraging tools like Power BI for advanced data visualization and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis in a fast-paced environment is required. Experience in investment banking, multi-site healthcare services, or the beauty/wellness industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting; strong Excel and data analysis skills required.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry KPIs and metrics, with experience in acquisition due diligence preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
