Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Systems Engineering to lead and manage a skilled technical team within our professional services organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership experience, and a history of managing teams in dynamic, multi-client environments. Preference will be given to candidates with experience overseeing Systems Engineers, Administrators, and technical support staff.

This role is based at our corporate headquarters in Milpitas, CA, and will encompass responsibilities across three core areas: Team Management Administrative Compliance Hands-on Technical Oversight You will collaborate with IT Consulting leadership, management teams, and clients to assess needs, define deliverables, and establish timelines. Your technical expertise will ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and network infrastructure while addressing system issues as they arise. Key Success Factors:
Leadership, technical proficiency, time management, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Core Responsibilities: Systems Team Management:
Lead and manage systems teams in the USA and Asia. Provide performance assessments, coaching, and training. Manage team schedules, track billable hours, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
Technical Responsibilities:
Oversee system infrastructure architecture, virtualization, AWS, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, management, and security practices. Handle installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware/software. Ensure system performance, data security, and disaster recovery operations. Resolve escalated issues and provide technical support to stakeholders.
Administrative Compliance:
Maintain local company networks and ensure systems comply with legal and company guidelines. Manage vendor contracts, software licenses, and IT budgets. Conduct regular audits of team practices to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience managing technical teams. Proficiency in system design, configuration, and analysis. Expertise in networks, cloud computing, Active Directory, and VMWare. Hands-on experience with enterprise storage solutions, Veeam backup, and Linux systems. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, G Suite administration, SSO/MFA integration, and AWS systems. Windows PowerShell and Office 365 experience. Strong communication skills and problem-solving aptitude. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Additional Skills: Experience with MDM solutions (Workspace One). Knowledge of email security practices. In-depth understanding of data governance, data center management, and network administration. This role demands a dynamic leader who can navigate technical challenges while managing a diverse, high-performing team to deliver quality services to clients.
