Master’s level licensed professional (individuals with provisional licenses may not serve as the Clinical Director) in one of the following licensed discipline categories:
NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker NC Licensed Psychologist (Doctorate Level) NC Licensed Psychological Associate NC Licensed Professional Counselor NC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Master’s Degree NC Licensed Nurse – advanced practice only (NP, PNPs) NC Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Certified Clinical Supervisor
Two or more years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of the population to be served by the agency (children or adults with mental health or substance abuse disorders). Two or more years of full-time, direct service experience, including face-to-face treatment and interventions, as demonstrated by having provided services for a caseload of individuals with a primary mental health or substance abuse disorder diagnosis. The treatment and interventions provided shall relate to the mental health or substance abuse diagnosis of the individuals served. Responsibilities: Supervise direct care staff within the day treatment program. Monitor consumer authorizations within the day treatment program to prevent any potential lapses in treatment. Attend necessary workshops, events, and training seminars. Communicate policy and other relevant information to day treatment employees/staff. Provide reports to the supervisor regarding current affairs and program operations. Network and collaborate with community stakeholders. Facilitate day treatment staff meetings. Participate in agency sub-committees. Assist with marketing strategies to promote agency growth. Facilitate and/or participate in presentations to community stakeholders to promote the day treatment program. Responsible for the proper and timely submission of all documentation required by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, and Youth Extensions. Assist with the development and implementation of person-centered plans as needed. Coordinate case management, discharge, and aftercare planning and referral to agencies as necessary. Assume on-call responsibility as necessary. Ensure incidents within the day treatment program are reported to the supervisor immediately. Assist with developing service plans/person-centered plans if applicable. Implement, evaluate, and modify service plans for all assigned consumers. Perform individual, family, and group counseling, and crisis intervention for families and consumers. Assist with formulating and coordinating discharge and aftercare planning. Attend all required clinical meetings and all assigned individual and group supervisions. Provide clinical supervision/oversight to day treatment program staff. Participate in regular professional development per discipline and level of skill. Facilitate child & family team meetings. Complete/submit authorization requests for OPT & day treatment consumers. Develop CBT curriculum for consumers in the agency’s day treatment program. Complete all other work-related tasks assigned by the Administrative Supervisor and/or the Clinical Director.
