Hiring Manager: Vice President Department: Technology Solutions
Department Overview
The Technology Solutions Department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions is also responsible for defining, managing and executing a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure and gold level service for our key stakeholders with information security embedded throughout. Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Data Governance and Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic and Secure Infrastructure and Operations. The Technology Solutions Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Golub Capital has multiple summer Business Analyst internship positions focused on analyzing and documenting pain points, defining alternatives to address those pain points through technology and / or process improvements and collaborating with subject matter experts to design the final solution. This role will require learning business processes, data collection / processing and system functionality in order to fully assess the problem and define feasible alternatives. Each student will be given an opportunity to learn and contribute as part of a team and will focus on a "showcase" project tailored toward their interests and background during their summer internship.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Quickly learn the business processes, data and technology in scope Participate in problem analysis and assist in determining software solutions and enhancements Learn key project management principals to ensure successful delivery of projects Utilize various tools, including advanced Excel functions, to analyze data as part of the problem evaluation Document a proposal using PowerPoint and other deliverables to summarize and present information in a way that influences the outcome Document and review requirements with the subject matter experts within the technology team and business team and participate in the design of the solution Collaborate with technical team members to ensure the developed solution meets the objectives through iterative reviews of deliverables and thorough test planning and execution Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Sophomore pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar degree Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of SDLC and analysis practices / techniques Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills Abide by our work-in-office policies then in effect Critical Competencies for Success:
