Job Description
SUMMARY
:
Reporting to the Senior Research Associate, the Data Analyst conducts data analysis and plays a central role in the reporting process for a statewide adolescent health survey. This is a full-time position, hybrid or remote. CREEHS is a University-based research and evaluation center that provides independent and objective program evaluation, applied research, and program planning services to state and municipal agencies, school districts, colleges and universities, community organizations, and foundations to assist them in meeting their program improvement and accountability needs in the areas of education, public health, and human services. Since its inception in 2011, CREEHS's goal has been to help our clients collect and use information in ways that improve their programs.
This position is a grant-funded position. Employment in a grant-funded position is contingent upon the availability of funding. Appointment to a grant-funded position may be limited to the duration of the grant and is subject to termination if/when funding expires or is otherwise no longer available.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with team members to identify project requirements and develop solutions. Review, clean, and organize data using a variety of software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and SPSS or Stata). Program surveys with complex display logic into Qualtrics survey software. Analyze and summarize quantitative data (e.g., surveys and program data), including multivariate analyses and tests for statistical significance. Generate public-facing tables and figures. Synthesize data and summarize findings as contributions to project deliverables. Conceptualize new reports of survey data summaries for clients and stakeholders. Independently research, learn, and implement new technologies and statistical techniques as directed by supervisor and required by the project and organization. Maintain documentation of learned skills and processes for future reference and training purposes. Perform other duties as assigned. Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time. QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science field. Minimum three (3) years of professional experience performing quantitative data analysis of social science, public health, educational/psychometric data, or data in a related field. Professional experience with survey data analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English. PREFERRED:
Master's degree from an accredited university in a social science field. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing program requirements. Curiosity and a passion for learning new ideas and skills. Demonstrated ability to self-teach and independently acquire new skills and knowledge. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Exceptionally detail-oriented. Proficiency managing and analyzing data in Excel. Proficiency using SPSS or Stata. Experience managing data in relational databases. Experience programming surveys in Qualtrics. Experience ;writing client-facing reports for audiences with varying levels of quantitative literacy. Willingness to work in a hybrid setting (i.e., spend some time in person each week).
