Prior Forging Industry experience is required. Maintenance Manager Our client is a leading manufacturer of closed die forgings, supplying high-quality components to the aerospace industry. They seek a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of our forging facility. Job Description: The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and capital project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Hands-on Acumen and knowledge: Possess the hands-on knowledge to lead and mentor from the shop floor when necessary. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement effective maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Preventive Maintenance: Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures. Corrective Maintenance: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and production disruptions. Capital Project Management: Manage capital projects, including budget planning, equipment procurement, and installation, to improve facility capabilities and efficiency. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe working environment. Cost Control: Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and equipment performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent years of work experience. 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the forging industry Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in maintenance management software and CMMS systems Preferred Qualifications: Experience with closed die forging processes Hands-on knowledge for mentoring and training. Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles
