Internal Medicine Physician

Location: Santa Cruz is a city on central California s coast. Its long wharf, with eateries and shops, stretches into Monterey Bay. Facility: Clinic offering a range of internal medicine services. Internal medicine focuses on adult patients and covers a variety of health issues, including chronic diseases, preventive care, and overall wellness Opportunity: * Looking for a Locums physician, details below! * First to fill! * ASAP- as soon as credentialed - 6 months to a year * Shift times: Weekdays: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1 hour lunch * Frequency: Monday Friday, every week- no call, would also consider someone who could do only a few days/week * Setting: Internal Medicine- will consider a strong FP but that is not ideal. * FTE: 1.0 * # Providers Needed: 1 * Duties: Typical IM clinic population average age 70. About half male/female with multiple comorbidities, such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, chf, etc * EMR: Cerner * Patients per Day: Other providers seeing 12-18 a day depending upon complexity (includes new patients) * Support Staff: MA's, MOR's, APP (one in clinic) and RN assigned to clinic Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
