Departmental and Technical Support Handles tier 1 help desk tickets/phone calls. Works on GCMH IT projects in collaboration with IT team members. Works collaboratively and closely with other IT team members to ensure customer satisfaction needs are accomplished in acceptable timeframes. Performs necessary system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance on computer systems, peripherals, and other client-side devices. Installs, integrates and configures new computer systems. Utilizes ticket system and procedures utilized by IT and communicates needed changes to the IT Manager. Works collaboratively with other IT group members to ensure optimal application functionality. Customer Service Works collaboratively and closely with IT team members to ensure customer satisfaction needs are accomplished in acceptable timeframes. Interacts with the IT team to meet hardware and software needs in acceptable timeframes. Covers on-call hours as scheduled. May be assigned additional responsibilities as directed by the IT Manager. Business Support Maintains an understanding of the business environment and the hospital's business needs. Monitors new technological developments to determine their applicability to improve the delivered product while maintaining standardization. Supports Windows desktop operations and conferencing platforms. Completes special projects and monthly reports as assigned. Performs other duties as requested by the IT Manager to facilitate the department's smooth and effective operations. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Two-year degree in Computer Science or Programming. Equivalent education and work experience will be accepted only if previous experience applies to specific systems. Requires experience with personal computers and networking. Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Knowledge of various computer systems software, applications, hardware, and communications. Requires highly developed communication skills. Knowledge of maintenance and repair of computer hardware; Investigating and resolving problems and/or repairing as specified by work orders. Performing system upgrades and other customized configurations; and Installing, integrating, and configuring new systems and hardware for users. Knowledge of healthcare industry systems is preferred. Must have strong telephone and typing skills. Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements is mandatory. Understanding and dealing effectively with problems and opportunities in a complex multiprocessing environment is crucial. Understands computer system functionality, limitations, and architecture of supported applications. Ability to work as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures. Use of usual and customary equipment to perform the position's essential functions. Preferred: Server operating systems and infrastructure equipment experience is preferred. Area of Interest:
