We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also "train" users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.

EVPassport is a worldwide company with team members spread across the United States and Europe, so it is essential that the individual filling this role is comfortable with 'time zone hopping'. We have other team members that will also be controlling IT systems but this individual will be the lead in onboarding new users, integrating new applications / services, and onboarding, off-boarding team members.

Responsibilities

Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)Knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, Figma, JIRA, Zendesk, Okta, 1Password, and othersExperience with macOS, Windows 11, iPad OS, and iOSUnderstanding of VPN accessFamiliarity with SSO implementations with FIDO keysBonus points if knowledgeable in Apple Business Essentials, Kandi and / or JAMFCheck computer hardware (mostly laptops) to ensure functionalityInstall and configure appropriate software and functions according to specificationsAssist with security training and implementing new processes to ensure corporate security complianceDevelop and maintain local networks (office networks) in ways that optimize performanceEnsure security and privacy of networks and computer systemsProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentOrganize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their workPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance scheduleIdentify computer or network equipment shortages and place ordersRequirements

Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant positionExcellent diagnostic and problem solving skillsExcellent communication abilityOutstanding organizational and time-management skillsIn depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networksGood knowledge of internet security and data privacy principlesDegree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant fieldCertification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)Benefits
