Position(s) is an Accounting Technician II located at North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh NC, which houses approximately 1,318 multi-level custody female offenders. These positions primarily maintain and oversees the financial accounting data for the facility. Technical accounting work may include independent responsibility for maintaining accounting records or separate accounts payable functions.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Analyze data for accuracy, to problem solve, and interpret regulations. Serve as a specialist in an area requiring fiscal knowledge. Various responsibilities affecting the fiscal and financial operations of the respective work unit or involvement in the budget process Performing various accounting functions through NCAS/NCFS and E-Procurement such as, accounts receivables and payables, purchasing, P-Card reconciliation, and etc. Deals frequently with facility staff to include management, custody and/or medical regarding purchase orders Maintain a supply inventory, and complete required reports in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently and meet constant deadlines while performing several tasks simultaneously. Assist with completing all other assigned duties as necessary This is a REPOST of position 60062902, 60066813.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with with established working hours of
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. Other divisions include Administration, Compliance & Accreditation, Comprehensive Health Services, Internal Affairs & Intelligence Operations, Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission, and Rehabilitation & Reentry.
About North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women (NCCIW)

North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, in Raleigh, is the state's primary correctional facility for women. It houses the largest offender population in the state and serves as the support facility for the state's other female prisons. The campus-style facility sits on 30 acres of a 190-acre tract of state land in southeast Raleigh. NCCIW houses offenders of all custody levels and control statuses, including death row, maximum, close, medium, minimum, safe-keepers and youth. It provides the primary medical, mental, and alcohol and chemical dependency treatment for female offenders.
The facility operates a diagnostic center that serves as the point of entry into the prison system for women. Upon arrival, offenders undergo a series of diagnostic evaluations that will determine future prison assignments.
