HYBRID Work - Accountant (Bond Accountant 2)

The Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated Accountant (Bond Accountant 2) who will: Prepare schedules to support financial statement numbers for assigned bond series Prepare financial statements for assigned bond series Pay disbursements related to bond issues, Single-Family expenses & preparing trustee & banking partner letters for investment purchases Maintain data base for trustee extract files & transactions, interest rates on variable rate bonds & swaps, bond paydowns & investment purchases Prepare reports used by the group, such as the month end reports from US Bank, investment & bond balance totals, remarketing & liquidity contract information For a complete description of the job duties, please read the Bond Accountant 2 position description . HYBRID Work: Employees in this position are eligible for OHFA's Teleworking Policy unless operational needs require otherwise. Currently, employees participating in teleworking are required to come into OHFA's offices two (2) days a week & may work from an alternative work location three (3) days per week. Qualifications The Office of Finance is seeking an Accountant (Bond Accountant 2) with the following minimum qualifications: 36 months training or 36 months experience in accounting. OR completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or public administration; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in accounting. OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. Applicable Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of & experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting Proficiency in Excel Skills in critical thinking, detail oriented & organization Ability to multi-task & work independently as part of a diverse team of financial professionals
