AP Accounting Specialist Job at Jewish Family Service of Greater Harrisburg in H

The AP Accounting Specialist works closely with both the Chief Operating Officer and the accounting department of Refugee Services. This person will review all invoices and process payments for the Resettlement program. In addition, this person will post and pay all accounts payable invoices received for the entire agency using QuickBooks Online.

Primary Functions

• Process and pay all expenses related to Resettlement on a daily basis
• Process and pay all expenses related to other departments of the Agency on a weekly basis
• Report to COO on weekly expenditures and upcoming expenditures
• Assemble and provide information to the external accountants who audit the company’s financial statements.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Comply with program specific, local, state and federal reporting requirements.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
• Follow accounting policies and procedures.
• Other accounting duties as requested.

• A minimum of 3 years in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated experience managing Accounts Payable
• Working knowledge of finance, budgeting, and administrative operations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and compile complex data for planning and reporting purposes.
• Able to pass background checks
