Key Qualifications
- Proficient in Timely Documentation: Expertly manage and complete all documentation tasks promptly, including taking and recording vitals, administering withdrawal assessments (CIWA & COWS), and accurately recording results in progress notes.
- Passionate and Self-Motivated: Driven by a strong passion for the role, with exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Team-Oriented Experience: Thrive in collaborative environments, maintaining a positive demeanor and adaptability regardless of changing work conditions.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to retain and contextualize information related to Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
- Comprehensive Understanding of Pharmacology: Possess a deep understanding of the pharmacology and physiological effects of alcohol and other commonly abused substances, ensuring informed and effective care.
- Patient Monitoring: Regularly monitor patients’ physical and mental health status, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and monitor for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education on SUD, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Supportive Counseling: Offer emotional support and counseling to patients undergoing withdrawal or treatment for SUD.
- Coordination of Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to any medical or psychological crises, providing immediate care and support.
- Health Assessments: Conduct thorough health assessments to identify any co-occurring conditions or complications related to SUD.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Pay & Benefits
At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $23.00 and $29.00 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.

Requirements:- Medical Office Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- EMR Systems Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital Signs Experience: 1 year (Required)
- Bilingual in Spanish: Preferred
Certifications:
- CCMA (California Certified Medical Assistant) administered by the CCBMA (California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants) or AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants).
- Higher Certifications in Nursing are also welcome.
- EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician), or Paramedic Certification with at least one year of experience in conducting vitals and preliminary medical assessments.
