We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team.
Position: Pediatric RN - ER
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Schedule: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) & Evening 4x12 (15;00 3:00)
Unit: Pediatrics - ER
What You'll Do:
The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing nursing care to pediatric patients ranging from infancy through adolescence. This role involves assessing patient health needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare providers and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for young patients. The Pediatric RN must be knowledgeable about pediatric-specific care protocols and skilled in managing the unique challenges of treating children.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor the health status of pediatric patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide age-appropriate care and comfort measures to pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate and support families regarding their child’s medical condition, treatment options, and home care needs.
- Coordinate discharge planning and provide resources for ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and institutional standards of care.
- Provide emotional support to families during stressful situations.
- Educate parents and caregivers on managing their child's health condition at home.
- Promote family-centered care by involving family members in the decision-making process.
Requirements:
- RN license in State of Assignment or compact license
- 2 years of experience as a traveler 3 years with no travel
- Must live 100 miles from Facility
- Covid Vaccine
- Flu Vaccine
