$80K Perform mechanical and electrical work on a broad range of high value classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles for VIP clientele. Lead the restoration process from start to finish, including the restoration/rebuilding of all vehicle mechanical and electrical components and systems. Responsibilities Perform evaluations on classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles to determine the need for repair/restoration of mechanical and electrical systems. Develop and recommend period correct repair solutions using expert knowledge of vintage Mercedes-Benz mechanical and electrical systems. Recommend replacement of components and the best course of action when replacement parts are not available. Photograph and inventory vehicle condition pre-restoration and during restoration process for future reference. Perform mechanical and electrical vehicle repair/restoration work applying expert knowledge of repair methods. Disassemble and restore deteriorated components, returning them to as-new condition. Assemble mechanical and electrical systems within specification and quality standards. Test drive and reassess work performed ensuring that vehicle meets required standards. Finalize completed work to a delivery-ready condition. Perform all vehicle repair/restoration work steps within estimated labor times. Qualifications Technical Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in mechanical and electrical repair of classic vehicles. Expert knowledge of legacy Mercedes-Benz Tools and Equipment. Expert competency in utilizing machining equipment. Expert user of automotive diagnostic tools. Expert user of vehicle alignment and brake service equipment. Expert proficiency in repair techniques such as brazing, silver soldering, and MIG welding. Ability to read/interpret complex technical drawings/blueprints. Process Plan and perform repair and restoration work efficiently. Document repairs properly including generation of repair stories and photography. Proficient in relevant safety procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment. Basic Maintain active driver’s license. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime. Maintain an organized and clean work environment. Abide by all established company and departmental workplace rules.
